Salve buona mattina!
This week was great because we were so busy with lots of people and lessons! AND we were fed 3 times what whhaaaat.
We taught the Goris and they fed us celestial food. Italians (even for lunch) eat in four courses so you are literally always stuffed. And goodness forbid you say you're full. Pasta, chicken, potatoes, bread, salami, salad, A BLOCK of parmesan cheese (I thought I had eaten good cheese before Italy, no I was wrong, the cheese here is to die for), toast, and then gelato. I couldn't move, but you never can say you're done, they will put more on your plate. After our lesson with them we had exactly 8 minutes to get to our train because Italians do not stop talking and you can try interrupting and telling them you have to go and be walking out the door and they will continue talking!!! That was by far the fastest we have ever run and we BARELY made it. We both almost threw up because we were so full! Sorella Rowe was sick for the rest of the night hahahahahah ahhhh good times.
We went to Roccastrada and Eunice fed us clams with black rice, sausage, salad, bread, boiled eggs, and then cake. Random huh? I was sooo full. We reset her baptism date to June 19th because we have a conference in Florence on the 12th. I love going to their house it's like family.
Jennifer finally got out of the hospital! And Paul got his papers to stay in Italy! Irma was too busyto meet
this week-_- but Daniella moved into her new house so that's good. The Natale's are still finding every excuse not to come to church, but I'm not giving up. We taught Nicoletta English and then taught her about the Book of Mormon. She asked really good questions and told us she would come to church this Sunday. I like her a lot she's funny. She told us that Rowe and I have different accents because I sound like I should be in an American movie and Rowe sounds more like a proper, formal American. hahah don't know what that means but ok! She started impersonating me and jumped out of her chair and was running around the room because I guess I'm full of energy when I talk. It was cracking me up, but she's just as crazy as me so we're besties.
Sunday we ate at Sorella Feri's house and it was sooo good. The best pasta I've had so far, then steak, bread, peas, cherries and gelato. I love visiting her because her apartment is the most traditional old classic Italian house you've ever seen right in the middle of Centro. Anyone who lives in centro has had their house in the family for generations and it gives them a lot of pride. She knows everyone in the streets so people walking down the road are constantly yelling up to her through her open window and she talks to them as she cooks. I love it so much. These people are born, raised, live, and die in these ancient apartments so everyone knows everyone. Then she told us to come with her and her sisters to campo so we could "see the crazy Siena people". We didn't know what to expect, but when we got to campo there were thousands of people crowded into the Piazza. That night was the night they were choosing who gets to compete in the Palio. Men were dressed in medieval clothing all waving their Contrada flags. Loud trumpets would play from the tower and they would present the flag of the chosen contrada out the window and the crowd would go CRAZY. It was so awesome to be there. I can only imagine how much more crazy the actual Palio is going to be.
Monday we went to Florence for district meeting and Sorella D'aleo made us arancini because it's her last week before she goes home to Sicily. They were so good!! It's hard saying goodbye to everyone who is dying this transfer. Especially Sorella Rowe UGH!! She is seriously one of my best friends. How often can you say you were within sight and sound of someone 24/7 for 4 months straight?! I feel like I'm getting a divorce people!! This is not fun! Today we both go to Milan and stay the night in Bergamo then Rowe will meet her parents at the
mission office and I will meet up with my new companion Sorella Barlow. I'm relieved because she's older than me in the mission, I was scared I was going to have to train because we are getting SO MANY new sisters the next couple transfers but I don't feel confident enough in the language quite yet. All I know about Sorella Barlow is she's British so I guess we will just be talking a lot about Harry Potter and Harry Styles. I don't know what else British people talk about. Jk. But I'm excited!
Ok have a good week vi voglio bene!

Siena is preparing for the big Palio in July. The mountain goat contrada (district) came through and then the porcupine constrada came and marked their territory. The Palio is a huge event, the town has been preparing for several months.
