Chaos in Siena

wow holy week am I right or am I right?

I hope everyone has been good and happy and great and cool.

This letter will be lame because I am writing it on the train to Florence. This week in Siena has been nothing but chaos honestly. But first I want to write about some of our investigators. I love them and each of them are progressing in their own way. Last week we set a baptismal date with Eunice but it has been pushed back because she got sick and couldn't come to church on Sunday. Complete side note, Italians have some superstitions with wind. If wind touches their neck they believe they are sick or will get sick so they must stay inside to be safe. So Eunice said she was sick because she had gone outside and it was windy and she just "didn't feel good about it all" .  I pray for patience everyday  haha

We are kind of scrambling down in Siena and nervous because President has decided to close down the Elders here. Everything is going to change now.  What that means is only one companionship of sisters will stay in the city. And if it is me, then it will just be me and a new companion who I have to show all of Siena to by myself  This doesn't happen often so we are trying to get everything ready. But there's also a possibility that it could be Sorella Rowe staying and then I would go to a new city which is unfortunate for President because I will be tying myself to my apartment and he will have to come and physically remove me from Siena. Either way it's a hard situation because I am afraid of being alone here, but I'm also afraid of leaving. And this puts a thousand more responsibilities on the sister missionaries because the elders have about 10 new investigators that will now be ours and we don't even know if we are technically allowed to teach them because of safety reasons, but we really don't want to drop them because they are great people who LOVE the gospel. . I would also have to  translate during church for those who don't speak Italian which I can barely understand what they are saying for myself. And then we would only have 2 teachers for English class which is really unfortunate because right now all 4 of us have several people we individually teach English and the gospel to and some are becoming potential investigators, but all at different levels. It will definitely be a lot of hard work for whoever has to stay behind. It's frustrating and I'm so nervous for this branch because we are just starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with some of the ward members and investigators. I just pray that I can do whatever it is the Lord wants me to do with this city. I feel a lot of responsibility, but I am truly so happy and nothing can compare to teaching this gospel to those who have been waiting their whole lives to hear it.

We met and taught John, Paul, and Sonya at the train station and they are so ready for the gospel. All three of them asked amazing questions. I am so excited to see them again. There's also a woman we taught the restoration to and she seemed like we were just reminding her of things she already knew! so cool. There is a man named Kelly who has two brothers who moved to Provo Utah (random) and became converted to Mormonism and he is really interested in our message. There is a man in English class we taught basically through google translate because he only speaks Spanish, but we gave him a Spanish book of Mormon and he has been reading it for a couple weeks and he says he knows it's true. So many miracles. So many great things beginning and I cannot imagine leaving these people!

     Please pray for my branch.

I hope you all have amazing weeks. I think the one positive thing about the elders leaving is we got their brown sugar, their hole puncher, a 2014 Bruce Lee calendar, a back brace, a chess set, & a garbage bag full of spices for cooking. We then had to run a solid 8 miles to catch the bus carrying all of this crap and we looked like idiots. I started laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants, but we got on, sweating and panting, and people just stared at us like we were insane which only made me laugh harder.

ok ciao peeps. I find out Saturday where I will be going next and that will be the scariest phone call of my life.
